MEDICAL PRACTICE
Medical IV hydration & medications
As part of an urgent-care or family-medicine visit, Pacific may provide IV fluids and selected IV medications when clinically indicated and ordered by the treating clinician.
Ondansetron (Zofran)
May be administered for clinically appropriate nausea and vomiting.
Metoclopramide (Reglan)
May be administered when medically appropriate following clinician evaluation.
Ceftriaxone
May be administered when an antibiotic is clinically indicated and appropriate.
Dexamethasone
May be administered for selected conditions when medically appropriate.
Clinician-Directed IV Medications
Other IV medications may be used based on diagnosis, contraindications and the treating clinician's judgment.
Medical IV therapy is not a menu of guaranteed treatments. Every medication or infusion requires individual evaluation, and some conditions require emergency-department or hospital care.
