Public website

Pacific-UC.com is being designed as a public informational website. The public site should not be used to submit medical histories, diagnoses, lab results, insurance documents, prescription information or other protected health information unless a specifically approved secure workflow is later added.

Patient records

Patient records and portal access are intended to remain in the secure patient portal associated with the clinic's electronic health record. The Pacific website will link patients to that secure portal rather than duplicating medical records in the public website infrastructure.

Contact information

If a general contact form is activated later, it should request only the minimum information needed for non-clinical communication. Patients should be instructed not to enter sensitive medical information into a general website form.

Analytics and tracking

Tracking technologies must be reviewed before launch, especially on pages connected with patient care or portal navigation. No advertising tracker should be assumed appropriate for pages that could reveal health-related information.

Final review required

This draft must be reviewed and replaced or approved by the practice before the website becomes public. The clinic's official HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices should be provided separately where required.
